The Hood County Library Addition is a 10,426 s.f. 2 story addition to a 12,425 existing library. The addition includes meeting and study rooms, an elevator, and additional study and stack space for their collection. The existing library was renovated as well, including new finishes in the restrooms.

The exterior uses native stone and sloped metal roofs to relate to the surrounding context. The Historical Commission also had to approve the project. The library features a large meeting room, staff workrooms, specialized teen and children’s areas, and the latest in book coding and cataloging RFID technology.
