Lewisville, Texas
Railroad Park is a 250 acre, $20 million project located at the intersection of Railroad Street and Bennett Lane in southern Lewisville. This park is the largest single capital project in the history of Lewisville. Adjacent to railroad tracks, the complex contains a railroad theme.
Working with landscape architects Dunkin Sims and Stoffels, Magee Architects designed all of the buildings for the project as well as the "Elite" baseball field stands. The concession buildings resemble the old Lewisville Train Depot that has been demolished.
The complex consists of 4 football fields, 10 soccer fields, 5 baseball fields, a skate park, and a dog park. To service the fields, there are 3 concession buildings, a restroom/vending building, and a maintenance building. Other amenities include 3 man-made lakes and a perimeter walking/ jogging trail. The complex was completed in the spring of 2010.
